Be sure not to confuse Marina lodging with the Daisy Motel...same owners but different locations. There is no onsite personnel at the Daisy Motel in Kirby AR. After a 12 hour drive and expecting to get my key at the Daisy Motel, it was necessary to locate the Self Creek Lodge facility to check in and get my room number. The bathroom stool was not working properly. I called the day after check in to have housekeeping fix it and was told housekeeping would stop by if needed. There is NOT daily housekeeping as their website promotes unless you request it. No electrical outlets in the bathroom, rusty shower plumbing, 1 pull string light over the mirror. Living/bed area had no area for my laptop nor decent lighting; one lamp and overhead fan/light that was burned out. It could only be reached by standing on a chair. The room however was neat and very clean, had a small flat screen TV! Lots of noisy traffic from Highway 70 and a dog constantly barking through the night and early morning. I'll stay elsewhere in the future. They also charged my card 2 days before I checked out which is certain legal but not typical of my past hotel stays and current stays at Best Western Okaloosa Island Fl and EconoLodge.
Amazing, comfortable and enjoyable place. The Owners are simply fantastic and make you fell welcomed immediately, this place has a nice, warm rustic feeling
I highly recommend staying here if traveling through or taking trip to the Diamond Mines.
Don't let the word MOTEL take you away from a FOUR STAR HOTEL EXPERIENCE with the best prices in the area...The rooms were beautiful, it was like entering into a mountain retreat with a 4 star touch. The lodgings were very clean, I am the owner of a property management and Landscaping company in Florida and we pride ourselves on perfection...when I entered our room I tried to find anything that I would need to clean.....THERE WAS NOTHING....IT WAS SO CLEAN and INVITING. The word my husband used was COZY. If you want excellent service you have it in the owner of the Daisy Motel, the second day we were here the electricity went out from an ice storm.....this owner went to the up most extent to try to get the electric on and when she found out that we wanted to ride it out, she put us up in one of her cabins that she has up the road from the motel for no extra cost....she did offer to give us our money back but, we came here to go on vacation and thanks to the owner we were able to stay out the rest of our vacation in comfort and enjoy the rest of our time. You have to come here its beautiful , there a park right next to the Daisy Motel, with a gorgeous lake....also don't forget the Diamond mine you can go to as well as crystal , emerald and ruby mining. But, don't worry the owner of the Motel has it all the information for you. We give this a five star rating and we have stayed in beautiful places all over the United States and nothing compares this place because, it has it all...KUDOS to the DAISY MOTEL. We will be back this summer no question on that.
Courteous, very helpful and really show the value to their customers. This place had been remodeled. Nice clean rooms, small flat screen TV with Direct TV, beds were comfy. My wife and I with our kids stayed here. We are a bi-racial cpl and was treated no different. So I highly recommend staying here if passing through the area...I even recommend take a detour to this place and the beautiful lake. You will not be disappointed.
Such a great place to stay!! We reserved a room with two double beds and they even upgraded us to the queen beds! The owners were very friendly and we are very close to the Daisy state park.
Cute rooms, and clean. But bad musty smell. Cracks in the door, you can see outside. No water pressure, takes 5 minutes for hot water to arrive. Bed is very cheap and uncomfortable. Loud window unit a/c. No wifi, but they advertise they do. But at least a very strong 3g cellphone signal in the area.
